Beijing, China, December 19, 2008 – China Software and IC Production Centre (CSIP), authorized by PRC Ministry of Information and Industry Technology (MIIT), held its 2008 ChinaChip Awards Dinner Celebration on Friday, December 19, 2008 at the Park Hotel in Beijing China.  The annual premier event, now in its third year, recognizes China top semiconductor fabless companies that have demonstrated excellence through their success, vision, strategy and future opportunity in the nation. 

Along with its official authority by PRC MIIT, ChinaChip event attracted about 100 outstanding IC products from the excellent fabless houses across the nation, to compete the two categories awards with five in each --- “Best Market Performance Award” and “Most Promising Award”.  The award committee, from national most respected authorities and experts, scored and determined the products based on their market shares, revenues, technologies leadership, and future potentials.  The ChinaChip award represents the highest level and most official recognition in China fabless semiconductor industry.  During the evening, the most watched “Best Market Performance Award” presented to the top five products from the companies of Spreadtrum, Rockchip, ViMicro, NationalChip and Apexone. 

A2636 from Apexone, the optical navigation system-on-chip (SOC) for human interface applications, integrates the algorithms DSP, CIS optical sensor, MCU, analog interfaces and memories onto single silicon, to achieve high integration and cost effectiveness.  It is the only in China and 2nd in industry to deliver such integration.  Since its launch, the product captures exploding market shares, growing as one of the major computer peripheral ICs in industry.
